Kent, Betsom’s Hill. Tuesday 31st August

After a few hours sleep it was back on the road again for Alan. Around the M25 and Kent became the next county top in focus. Although not massively high, the Kent top did end up presenting Alan with a slight dilemma. It stands at 251 metres. There’s a road running up the hill and it was a case of jumping out onto the side of the road and touching the top. However, the very highest point may well be located on private property.

Walking in this area is beautiful. A good circular walk would involve going along the public footpath beside the famous Biggin Hill airfield. You could then continue accross country passing just beneath Betsom’s Hill.
