Cold Overton Park, Rutland – Sun 29th August
Rutland may be the smallest county, but it certainly can pack a lot of beautiful scenery into a small place. It even contains the largest man-made reservoir in Europe. Everyone from walkers, to cyclists, sailors, windsurfers, anglers and birdwatchers come here to enjoy leisure pursuits.

Due to the nature of this challenge, Alan unfortunately arrived at Rutland with no time to enjoy any of these things – the sun had even gone down! The only thing that was left to do was to find the highest point. This is located just passed Oakham, in a place called Cold Overton Park. It stands at 197 meters and can be reached by car. The only thing is, it lies in a private field, so you’ll have to ask permission to go all the way to it.
