Surrey – Leith Hill. Tuesday 31st August

From Kent to Surrey in the glorious sunshine. Alan has climbed to the top of this lovely county top before and was once again looking forward to seeing the stunning panoramic views. Leith Hill is not only the highest top in Surrey, but is the highest point in the South-East of England. The National Trust now look after the area, so there are plenty of signs showing footpaths around the site. A 19.5 metre tower, built in 1765 by Richard Hull of Leith Hill Place, dominates the hilltop. On a clear day it is possible to see thirteen different counties.

Alan took around one hour enjoying a round-trip walk to the summit. Plenty of time to enjoy the weather and take some pictures.
