Pro Trek reaches new heights with Alan Hinkes

Alan Hinkes and Pro Trek will embark upon a joint venture starting on Saturday 28th August 2010, attempting a new record time for climbing all of the highest peaks in the 39 English shire counties.

Alan will attempt to complete this challenge in 8 days, the fastest ever time and will be documenting every element of his expedition through social media, photography and video diaries.

Members of the public will be encouraged to engage with Alan along the way and follow his story as he attempts to achieve his aim in a timeframe never done before

Ordnance Survey maps for every walk will be available online to enable followers to recreate Alan’s steps or follow him virtually as he tackles the 39 peaks.

Furthermore Alan and Pro Trek will be working throughout the process to raise money for Mountain Rescue. Mountain rescue is a mountain and cave rescue service in England and Wales made up of a group of highly trained, highly motivated individuals.  3500 volunteers are available to those who need their assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, whatever the weather.
